Following my website winning a national award at The Wedding Industry Awards (TWIA), it's been featured on Guides for Brides' blog:

TWIA 2016 – Best Wedding Website Spotlight

Kate Scott Photography (Highly Commended) – www.katescottphotography.co.uk

The fun, relaxed and informal style of this website gives couples an indication of Kate’s personality and the photographic style you can expect. She shares her likes (bubble wrap, hot water bottles) and dislikes (tinsel, ticking clocks and tippex) and she speaks like you are in the room with her. Testimonials and examples of her work are scattered amongst the information on what to expect and how she works. There are clear calls to action encouraging brides to contact her and share her website with others.

Wowsers, there I was on Thursday evening, sat in front of the iMac watching The Wedding Industry Awards' twitter feed like a hawk. My baby monitor was on - the reason I wasn't there in person - and I was reading all about the wonderful time my industry pals were having at Cafe de Paris in London. Drinking cocktails, watching incredible acrobatic performances...

It was taking rather a long time to get through all of the awards and I was getting a little sleepy. "I'll just go and wash up", I thought and skulked off to the kitchen. 15 minutes later I picked up my phone and it was going bonkers - I'd only been awarded 'Highly Commended' in the Best Website category.

My website was selected from 40 shortlisted websites by Guides for Brides. To say I wasn't expecting this award would be a huge understatement. I was rather flabbergasted. As were my wonderful website designers - Fi and Becs Design & Marketing. Kudos indeed ladies. Thank you for building such a gorgeous website to showcase my work.
