When I first met up with Martin and Lucy to discuss their big day they told me they wanted a rustic, natural themed wedding. Lucy grew up nearby and used to go walking in the surrounding area. When they looked around Rivington Hall Barn they fell in love with its fairy-lit beams and super cosy atmosphere and knew it would be perfect. That it was.
This was a wedding with so much heart and soul from start to finish. I met Lucy and the girls at Lucy's family home for bridal prep and there wasn't a dry eye in the house when they opened their gifts. What really showed throughout the day was just how much thought had gone into every little decision.
Lucy wore a stunning strapless lace gown from the Glamour Bridal Collection and added a Pronovias veil - one of the most beautiful veils I've ever seen, dripping in detail. Bridesmaids Emma, Sophie and Caroline wore tea-length sage green lace and were clutching the prettiest bouquets by Wild and Wondrous.
I met the boys (and their Bentleys) at the church and caught their guests arriving just before Lucy. After the ceremony and an impressive confetti storm we headed over to Rivington Hall Barn and I stole Martin and Lucy away for a few minutes. The grounds of the barn lend themselves to relaxed, unposed photography - a short stroll was all we needed.
It was a great crowd at this wedding - I let the band, Champagne Skies, know they were in for a good night and watched as they started the evening off with an almighty bang...
